LLMTR's free GPT-6 Astra offering ended on 7 September 2026. Understand old links, model_retired responses and a deliberate move to the separate paid model.
The former free card has ended
LLMTR's free offering under openai/gpt-6-astra-free ended on 7 September 2026, earlier than the previously announced 10 September date. As of 27 September 2026, it should not be recommended as a working free option. The paid counterpart is openai/gpt-6-astra; the two rows do not share the same access and payment conditions.
This describes LLMTR's offering, not every website or OpenAI product. The official OpenAI API model page checked for this article also marks its Free usage tier as unsupported for Astra. Application subscriptions, API access and a particular platform's promotion must be considered separately.
An old search result is not a current offer
A search result containing the word free does not establish current availability. Read the publication date, update date and status on the model card together. A shared screenshot or copied model name is not an access guarantee either. Content describing a time-limited promotion can remain visible after that promotion ends.
Check the exact identifier on the page you open. Combining the old free identifier and the paid one under an ambiguous heading obscures the cost decision.
