Claude Haiku 5.5 (Free) is Anthropic's current Haiku model at no charge until 14 October 2026, 23:59 (TRT); it closes earlier if the quota set aside for free use runs out. Free use is limited per account per day. Prompts can be up to 100,000 tokens and one response at most 32,768 tokens. It offers adaptive thinking with effort from low to max (medium if unset; `none` turns it off), image input, tool calling and prompt caching. The last message must be a user message; assistant prefill is not accepted.
